So why are we migrating our website to a blog? Well, Katya’s laptop died last fall taking all our files with it…and we realized that although a flash site was ‘real purty’ it felt flat and lifeless…and a pain in the ass to update. So welcome to our site! And if you don’t know us you can read our official bio below

Karen L. Dunn and Katya Moorman are the co-founders and principal partners of Studio2k. Their work ranges from video to print design to interactive performance pieces which look to blur the boundaries between art and design, materiality and the ephemeral nature of technology, and commercial vs. non[commercial].

Respectively graduates of UCLA in film and Cranbrook Academy of Art in design, their work has been widely shown in such places as PS122, the Ohio Theater, and Williamsburg Art Nexus in New York City as well as in Detroit, Durham, Toronto and the Krakow Festival in Poland.

It has been published and received awards from both output06 international design annual and I.D. –International Design Magazine and is part of the permanent collection of the Contemporary [Art] galleries + Museum at Western Carolina University and the freshArt database on Rhizome.org.
